Tokyo

So here is my lowdown on Japan. Lets go city by city shall we?

First stop was Tokyo. Huge, crazy with a obsession for cuteness and savvy 70's architecture. Not as 'futuristic' as one may think but awesome regardless. The hubby got tattooed in Yokohama by the so called grandfather of Japanese tattooing - Horiyoshi III, pretty damn impressive. Also impressive was his house / studio we visited. He has head tattoos, often tattoos the Yakusa and was watching daytime soaps. Awesome!

The rest of our time in Tokyo was taken up with eating, drinking in the Golden Gai, catching up with the lovely Nobu and Hiroko, people watching in Yoyogi park, cherry blossoms and shopping until our feet bled.

I am a lazy blogger

So open inspiration older and throw up some pics I like of various architectural bits and bobs. Done. Enjoy.

Oh and sorry, I don't know where these came from. Whoops.

and more of her pics because I am obsessed....

Turning Japanese

Soo woopah we are off to Japan this weekend. Rather excited to say the least.

As my friends are a helpful bunch we have been given heaps of handy hints on where to stroll around the great Tokyo. I was also told about this sweet little blog called ...wait for it. HELLO SANDWICH. Bah ha ha.

The girl that runs the blog, according to Lucy at The Design Files (interview -http://www.thedesignfiles.net/2009/01/interview-ebony-bizys.html) is the Senior Designer for Vogue Living, pretty impressive to say the least. Anyhoo now I have seen her pics I am officially exited about our holiday and am a tad worried about my potential nervous breakdown induced by total cute overload ** insert high pitched cutski squeal here**.

Seesaw

Our Studio is somewhat getting there. Still need a bit of a paint and touch up, install the boardroom doors and finish the second bathroom. Good things come to those that wait.

As our studio faces Festival Hall, I am watching them set up for Them Crooked Vultures. I am off to see the show tomorrow night so hopefully it will be awesome.

Stu stu studio!

As we just kitted out our new studio, I love to see how other design firms dress their spaces.Loving the parliament design fitout spied via design sponge.
